I wouldn't worry about Asian flu. It's a "big deal" because of it's relationship to H1N1 that caused the spanish flu that killed millions and has the possibility to cause a pandemic. That said, H1N1 and other type A influenzas sweeps through human populations annually now, only difference is we have immunities to it. Another concern is how it is harbored in migrating waterfowl, and has been shown to infect poultry in risk areas, with the transmission from domestics to wild being the worry some part. It only has 5/10 of the required point mutations for virulence in humans as of last year, with deaths from "regular" influenza being a bigger issue, world wide as of now.
