Did you say you got this cockerel from a hatchery? Golden Cuckoo marans are one of the rarer marans breed. That said, all of the feathers would be gold and black, with no gray in there.

Specifically, a solid rooster over a barred hen. The barred gene can only be passed to her sons, there by making that headspot the indicator of sex. The headspot indicates that the chick carries the barred gene.

It is possible this cockerel is a sex link... I wonder if its a home made sex link, which case if they used a cuckoo marans hen, instead of the more common barred rock, the resulting male offspring could look like this.

I don’t know,my dealer said that ideal could have made a mistake and I know they sel sex links but someone said they have the wrong leg color,could I get a female with the same trait and make more that have more of the gold and green?

I have some Cream Legbar /EE crosses with some similar coloration in them but it covers them. They were accidents so maybe your's is to.
