Hey y'all.I wanted to do a Harriet update I haven't done one in forever.

So, the other night Harriet's comb became very swelled and white looking.My weakness brought her in.Crazy brat.Anywho, she stayed in for the night and da dada.Welp, today it's so much better.Its a bit pale but the black is falling off.Tomarrow I think I have to spray some collidle Silver on it to keep away infection.

Chicken sleepovers are the best- and the temptation to bring HEALTHY chickens inside almost seems irresistible to me at times!
That's great! How many different times has she wounded/gotten frostbite on her comb as of now?

Errrgggg she a little pain in the neck inside.I caught her dust bathing in the tree pot once.......*sighs*the things I do for her.
Wounded AND Frostbite?Alright then...XD
Welp, wounded lets see....4 times?3 times it was minor bites and a little blood draw or peck here.But cannot forget that time she got that ripped off.I go out one morning, blood dried and sticky on her neck and face, one of her comb spikes and dangling of.I bring her inside, send mom out for Blue-Kote.Spent 2 hours alone, Harriet wrapped in a towel while I played Diablo 2 XD After that she looked like a homeless chicken.
Oh wait—She already looks homeless!
Frost bite....3 times I think.First time and a couple other times.So yeah, Leghorns aren't my bird.
BUT I LUV HARRIET

I know. And it never gets easier for any of us.
Dan just keeps loosing innumerable baby poultry, KFG's cockerel's mortalities never seem to end, and Candice is just heartbreaking....

Gahh! My chickens are fine, please don't let bad luck be contagious!

I made a diaper out of a sock for a chick who spent 36 happy hours free ranging the house.

My heart is going out to all my friends who are sick or have sick chickens, it is so hard.

Well, I'm from the USA, but now I live in Brazil.

My sisters did the chickens for me today- thank you!- so I didn't get to see Candice. They said that she looks better but I'll have to check.
