Glad to hear the crop is back to normal.Update...
Rocky the Roo is doing much better! his crop is back to normal size although it feels hot to the touch (I suspect sour crop, or maybe all that gravel caused some inflammation). I'll keep an eye on him and take him to the Vet if the heat doesn't go away.
I'm hoping that the grit won't cause a blockage in his gizzard now that it moved it's way out of his crop.![]()
Is he pooping?
The crop feeling hot to touch of a bit concerning, so keeping an eye on that would be good.
Personally, I would keep him on something fairly bland for a few days just to see how it goes with the crop, the inflammation and see if his poop continues to be normal. Plenty of water, his normal feed made into a wet mash and hard boiled/scrambled egg for a treat. It won't hurt to stir 1 teaspoon of quality plain yogurt into the feed or eggs.
