Roo attitude?

Just an update, have not had any further problems out of him. I am ready for what he throws at me, but he has taken to staying away from me. Charging him seems to have worked! I am happy about this, he is one I really wanted to keep.. but his being on the menu will always be negotiable :)

I'm glad your rooster is doing better! My Rooster did the SAME EXACT thing to me. My husband too thought it was hilarious. I never held my roo as a baby. Not even once. No excuse for his behavior. It got to the point where I would not enter my own back yard without yielding a rake, stick, shovel or something else to fend him off with, I refused to gather eggs. The rooster had gone crazy! Plus he made me look crazy as he usually would only do it when i was alone. Rarely around witnesses. Clever Bird. However, over the last few weeks I've charged him waving my arms. He does not like that at all and runs away every time. Just keep showing your dominance and he will leave you alone.
