My roo has been attacked and his ear is swollen and looks to have pus around it with a clear liquid dripping too. I will post pic, tell me what you think.
Thank you, Tom

When was he attacked? Or do you think he’s sick?
Tom, that appears to be his eye to me.
Is that his eye?

Can you get some saline and rinse it out as best you can to get a better look and see what you’re dealing with?
Or a soft, warm , wet rag like a piece of an old clean T-shirt.

If it’s his eye, You’ll need some terramycin ophthalmic ointment (tractor store) Thera tears or something similar... even regular antibiotic ointment for tonight until you can get the other kind tomorrow.

Edited for terrible typing.
I just walked in the door.

There are some respiratory viruses that can show early on as eye infections with purulent drainage. coryza and mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) are two.

Is his other eye completely normal?
Does it have a gross smell?
Any nasal drainage?
How long has it been like this?
How are your other birds?
Have you separated him from the others?

I was away in NY, my wife said his eye was ok. She said the wound was around the ear.
He was definitely attacked feathers all over the inside of the fencing. I'm going to wash it now.

How many days has it been since it happened?

It's been since Tuesday. My wife sprayed blue kote on the ear and looks like she got some in his eye. Maybe that's what's causing this.
Anyway the pus or what ever it is is hard as hell. I tried rubbing it off for about 10 mins and very little came off, so I just put an antibiotic ointment on it to get soft and bring down the swelling.

I agree with a warm wet compress to the eye to soften and get the gunk out of his eye. Sit and hold him for 15 minutes with the eye soaking. When you get it cleaned off with a cloth, open to see if his eye appears intact. A bad peck to the eye or a bacterial eye infection possibly from a respiratory disease seems likely. Listen to hear if he has any sneeze or cough, wheezing, or rattly breathing.

Get some Terramycin eye ointment from a feed store, or use some plain neosporin/triple antibiotic ointment in the eye twice a day after making sure that it is cleaned. If he has any signs of a respiratory disease, I would treat him with antibiotics for mycoplasma (MG) with Tylan 50 injectable from the feed store, cattle medicines. I can give dosage if needed.
