Keep a close eye on him. You still might want to tube a few more days...just in case.

Measure how much food you put in his cage so you will know for sure how much he eats in a day.

He was smashing his face a good 6 minutes. I am just going to keep an eye on him for now. His throat is probably sore from tubing. I don't want to discourage him from eating because of a sore throat.

Be sure and put a good bit of water into his feed. I have been feeding a sick hen for 5 weeks now, and she won’t drink a drop of water. But she eats a wet mash of feed, egg, wet canned cat food, and yogurt. I even moisten her egg and cat food. She hasn’t lost an ounce and has a good output.
