Roo is sick, we have no clue?????

this is the wifes 2 cents and it may be completely out there but...can chickens get lyme disease?? only wondering because these seem to be the same symptoms that my sisters dog had when they found out he had lyme disease or am i just reaching here?? my tummy has been in knots all day for this little fellow. we are waiting on a phone call from the so called "professor of poultry" at purdue. we'll keep everyone posted and thanks for all the help.

Just a couple of references to check (actually a good reference that is free - focus is on exotics, but avian nonetheless);

http://www.avianmedicine.net/ampa.html

chapter 28 page 732 (vit. E deficiency)/ Chapter 37 page 1044 (`peanut' toxin).

Those seem a stretch.

If I had to guess, given the info provided, I'd probably go with head injury. Almost anything `new' in the environment can set a normally easy going roo off (a new pair of mud boots, maybe, even, statuary - beating around and whacked his head?).

Hope your guy shows some improvement. And let us know how the consult goes.
