With regards to laying eggs remember you're starting to get into the fall / winter that will also be and impediment laying eggs although young birds sometimes lay all through the winter
We live in FL so the weather here is still in the 90s slowly going to 80s and 60s at night. Our winter won’t happen til around February.

Yep that be it coupled with the enlarged comb and waddle and the Deep Red comb I'm almost 100% certain that's a roo. Hens just don't develop those physical characteristics. Yeah they're comb will get a little bigger, the Waddles get a little bigger but I've never seen a hen develop that large pointed scale that inevitably becomes a spur
I thought it was a roo because of these things - this is why the post. I do understand. But I am going to go with hen based on the advice of the other more experienced members here- if she doesn’t start to crow! Thank you for your opinions though because I did actually think that too!

Those look like pullets to me! Both have round saddle feathers and appear to be much too mature for any of them to be a late cockerels, as for the little spur, all hens will have those little "buds", some hens even grow spurs themselves! I am by no means an expert but that's just from my experiences :)
Thank you I’m not seeing any pointed saddle feathers. They’re 20 weeks old. All of my hens have the feet buds .

These girls all have very deep red combs too. It’s the same color. I’m pretty sure it’s the diet. The combs are a bit smaller though. That’s why I was questioning? They are all supposed to be the same age. Bought as “day old” chicks but they were not. They were shipped by Cackle Hatchery and they are beautiful. But some were a bit older than others by a few days when they arrived.
