That’s not a leghorn....Hello everyone, meet Bedhead. We got this little one in a group of six on March 4th from a farmer near us. She said they were all five days old, but this one has always been a bit bigger then the rest. I’m thinking Bedhead is actually a week older than the rest of the group. Recently it seems Bedhead’s comb grew out of nowhere. I know Leghorn hens can have larger combs compared to other breeds, but we’re starting to think Bedhead might be a roo. Please help us figure this out!
Prob an EEThat’s not a leghorn....
They definitely arent leghorns, looks more like Easter Eggers, leghorns don't have the fluffy feathers around the face, they are more skinny than fluffy as well
Not at the moment but when they are out in the run tomorrow I’ll see if I can grab some. I can tell you that with the exception of Bedhead and one other (very top left in the picture) they are all clean legged and have grey/slate colored legs.I think you are in for a big surprise.
Got any more pictures...of them standing?
Do you hear crows yet?Not at the moment but when they are out in the run tomorrow I’ll see if I can grab some. I can tell you that with the exception of Bedhead and one other (very top left in the picture) they are all clean legged and have grey/slate colored legs.
