They are 4 weeks old. How can you tell roo's from hens?

these are straight-combed varieties. if a straight comb shows any signs of redness and growth at this age (and wattles!) they are going to be a roo. #s 1 and 5 both have pale combs with no red. most likely pullets.

I am going against popular vote on #1, I think it is a cockerel from the coloring, it is more blurred like a male BR.
The rest I agree, roo, roo, roo, BO pullet.

Thanks. I think out of 50 chicks I have 3-4 pullets great. At least they were cheep.
