food for thought. so, i will wait for a crow for a few more weeks...I'm not sure but my female White Leghorns didn't have tail feathers as long. They do mature quicker than my other breeds. If it's a male my males started to try crowing at 2/3 months old.
Hello again. Not sure if this will repost or get any of your attention, but... we are at week 12. Some weird stuff showing up on my "white leghorn" "pullet"
She's got some black feathers. One on her curly tail, one on her body, and one on her neck. And...I don' t know if this matters but she has a BUFF dot on her head.
No spur, no crow still.
So she s looking like a mix. What do you think? Still a she? I found a weird breed called tetra from TSC. It' a mix with white leghorn and I don' t know what else. Any ideas?
Here' s some pics. They do not like getting their pic taken.
Glad she still looks like a pullet! Oh...Sapphire...another X to research!!! The guessing is so much fun! Thanks.Still looks like a pullet. I think she's either a cross breed such as a Sapphire, or just has some recessive genes from somewhere.![]()
How fun this is! I can't wait to see what color eggs!!!! It will be a hint closer to the mystery! Lol! Thanks. She's probably a California White (lays white eggs) or an Austra White (lays cream eggs) they're both Leghorn crosses.
