Great Job. Sebastian needs a new sling, this older one was for when he was younger and the top bar didn't reach his head. He puts his head under it though and reaches his food dish ( which needed a good washing in that pick, dirty Goose) The sling lets him move his legs to strengthen them while not putting weight on them. I used an old cat play toy with small pvc and an old pillowcase. He is being upgraded to one with heavier pvc and canvas, as soon as I can find where I put it.. LOL
i am sorry to say that at 8:13 PM tonight, my only roo, Rocket II, died in my arms. Now there will be no more cocka doodeling in that silly little voice. No one for L.C. to snuggle with and follow around. No fancy colorful tail feathers strutting around the barn like he owned it. That 7 ounce bird took my heart and gave it a moment to keep forever. I'm glad I was with him when he died. But the barn won't be the same without him.
I just saw this thread. I am so terribly sorry. A wonderful roo owns a part of your heart and none of our birds should ever have to endure a dog attack. He must have had internal injuries. Heartbreaking.
