I'm not disagreeing but I got 2 Golden Campines females last year and would have sworn one was male and the other female by the way their combs came in. But they both turned out female and the one with the large comb is the only one that lays. Even at a year old, the other has a smaller comb and has never laid an egg. So, you may need to give it some time since I understand the feathering on Campines is the same for male and female.
