How do you quarantine the hens. The coop is 10ft long and stands 4 ft high.

The hens have lived in a healthy home

I have 3 BR 's and 3 RIR's , both breeds are great layers . the BR's are more brazen and tend to peck at my shoes or anything else they can ! Still love em though !

Well it is always best to quarantine birds that came from diffrent places if you have seen where they came from and are posative they are healthy birds you could go along with the introduction process

You put them in separate pens far enough away from each other that they don't get yours sick if there is something wrong with the new one. Keep it there until you are sure the new one is not carrying a disease.

If you absolutely don't have a way to do this then you can put them together right away at the risk of yours getting sick. I am sure a lot of people do this with out a problem.

Yeah, the people said they will find a vet, and then give it to me after a check up. Im willing to quarantine

I'm not the most experienced person on here, but if they have proof of a vet visit and proof that it doesn't have any disease lice mites fleas or anything, and YOU SEE THIS PROOF then I would go ahead with introduction. Don't take their word on it though, unless of course its a trusted family member or something like that. Someone with more experience may come and correct me though.

Well they are family friend for about 7 years, so i guess. Ill try to get proof , or Ill have to quarantine
