we have a rooster with a infected eye and now it is very swollen should we use tylan 50 how much and where should we give the shot.

It might help. You should give the shot wherever the instuctions tell you too-- either in the muscle or under the skin. Certainly not in his poor eye!!

If it's an infection that's not related to a chronic respiratory disease, such as a scratch that got infected or a piece of debris in the eye...I recommend you flush the eye with saline solution and treat with terramycin eye ointment.
