Roo with rattling crow and gurgling sound when breathing

I am new to chickens, well since I was a kid when my parents and grandparents had them.... So anyways, I have this White Leghorn that doesn't sound so well for the last week. He chases the hens around, eats, drinks, pretty active, he just doesn't sound right. I do know he and the RIR/Buff Orp Cross roo fight from time to time. They are separated now with their own flock of girls at opposite ends of property? Any ideas of what is going on with him?

have you checked him for gaping worms? That might cause the weird sounds.

So I look into his beak? I googled it, and said that sometimes you can see a spiral worm???? I have thought about culling him thinking he may be in pain, but he is very active, and if he has any parasites afraid to consume him?

Any more suggestions? I am not a vet, but have ruled out the gaping worms.

Well depending on your weather, he may just have a common cold...rainy, humid, hot, etc. It could just be caused by those fluctuations.
