Hi,

I have a BO roo who is about 6 months old. I went out today to give them their afternoon
treat and noticed that his feet are kind of red. There is no open wounds or anything that
I can see that would cause them to be red. Is this normal for their feet to be red or is
there something going on that I need to address?

It is raining here and cool in the 50's. Could the weather be a factor?

Thanks,

Ok, when the rain stops so I can get out there with a camera I will take a pic
and post it. Thanks.

Ok, there are some pics that I got of his feet.

My BO Roo has the same thing going on, and has had it for quite some time.. He is perfectly fine and I dont think it should alarm you? I think its just hormones

Ditto, I freaked out when my BR roo started to get red feet and founf out it was all those manly hormones floating around. No open sores or anything, just red like yours.

Can someone explain to me why hormones would cause his feet to turn red?
This is the fist time I have heard of this so I am a little ignorant.

Also, what does this mean for his temperament? So far he is a good roo,
he takes care of the ladies and knows that I am the alpha roo. He keeps
a respectful distance from me and does not give me any problems.

Is this going to change?

Thanks Again.

His hormones are raging through his body right now! Where they have light colored legs its not uncommon to see the redness in their feet as their hormones are going crazy, It normal! He is becoming sexually mature. Mine has never hurt me after he became mature. He is still a very sweet gentleman. I dont think your going to have problems with him.
