If wing sexing worked for every bird, nobody would come home with cockerels.
I also want to add that vent sexing is incredibly meticulous and people trained to do it are paid very well. Vent sexing also has a decently high rate of mortality if done incorrectly. If wing sexing were accurate for every chick, time and money would not go into vent sexing, it wouldn't be good business practice :)
