hello, I am a first time chicken owner. Our babies are about 12 week old leghorns and the BOTH started making funny SQUAAAAAKKK noises this morning. They were sexed as females but now we are wondering.... can anyone help?

The one with a floppy comb is likely a hen. Can you get better face shots of the other one and a picture of its legs?

The interesting thing is they they both squacked this am. The floppy comb did twice. They both have developed combs and waddles at exactly the same time

Wl pulleys *can* develop surorosing size in the comb earlier than other breeds, but the color only reaches the shade your birds have when they are ready to lay, and 12 weeks is early for even the fast maturing leghorn
