Hi I’m a fairly new chicken mom as it’s been well over a decade since I’ve had any chickens. I thought I was getting 15 pullets. 12 Rhode Island Red and 3 Easter eggers. However I’m pretty sure I’ve got two Roos of each. The Easter eggers are roughly 18 weeks old these two are constantly battling it out. Both have larger, redder combs than the third one. They are developing pointed saddle feathers, although they keep pulling each other’s out. I’ll make a separate post for the Rhode Island Reds. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

This will be my first not guess but ok a guess. I think they are pullets because the feathers are rounded not pointy. Also, you would have heard them by now.
This is why I’m so confused. I’ve read so much conflicting info. Lots of sites say they don’t always crow until six months. I have heard some crow like sounds a few times but nothing substantial. I know that the other two suspected males, these two and one definite female are in a huge battle to claim the position of head honcho. Maybe a photo of the one I think is the female will help. There’s a distinct difference in comb size and color as well as feathering.
Hello and welcome to BYC :frow So happy you have joined our flock.
thank you so much
