Rooster? 3 month old Australop?

I would go with a black sex link which would make it a hen, but thats an awfully red and big comb and wattles for 3 months old. Were did you get them from?

We got the hen from a hatchery which had an educational display at my child's kindy

How old is the black bird? "Approx 3 months" could be 2 1/2 months or almost 4 months, and at this age it makes a big difference for gender. That seems to be a lot of comb for the size of the bird, so I'm leaning toward male that way, but the coloring is female, so could be an early maturing sex link, just depends on age.

The black chook 9 weeks. The white chook is 10 weeks. The reds are 9-10 weeks.

Here is the black and white chooks together. Black is 2weeks, white is three weeks

9 weeks, that much comb means rooster on the black bird. I'm not sure what breed it is, but I'll bet he gets more gold leakage on the shoulders as he ages. The white bird looks to be a red sex link rooster.
