Rooster acting weird

I have about 45 chickens all together with around 8 roosters all different ages free ranging around my yard. I have one rooster in particular who is about 10 months old, he is kind of at the bottom of the roosters but still hangs around with the babies and hens. Recently he has been climbing/flying up to sit in the overhang bit in the shed roof. He can get down but he just doesn't want to. Its worrying because if hes sitting up there all day he gets no water or food. Half the time you can't see him only hear that hes up there when he crows, but if you call out his name he will poke his head up. I don't know what to do or how to get him to stop going up there. Help!!!!

If he's bottom of the rooster order, he maybe getting bullied, hence hanging around the babies/hens and on the overhang. Are you sure he's not getting down to eat when you're not watching? How many feeders/waterers do you have out? Try catching him at night when they roost, check him over well. If he's got good weight, he's got to be eating.
