Is it normal that upon being caught, realizing the game is over, and obediently sitting down a rooster will cause the feathers on the back of his neck to stick out? What does he mean by that- is it a sign of surrender?

uhhh the one who lost stuck his feathers out? i thought the lifting-hackles thing was shwoing aggression...
also, sitting down? ive heard that they would run away
does the winning roo leave him alone after?

What is he doing in this situation? He knows he's caught; even if he's not being held in place, he won't move, but he insists on sticking his feathers out.

There is no other rooster. It's just me, trying to catch him. He's terrified of me- I've gotten pecked maybe 3 times.

has he ever attacked you? I don't know what's causing this! has he ever gotten a shock from you? (not an electric shock)
