Rooster as an eye injury

how do you stop them from scratching it with their claws. He got into fight with we think a weasel. Its been over a week and still looks bad. I keep warm packs and ointments but he keeps scratching it so I am assuming it itches him. And I think that's why it still is draining. I somehow need to stop him from getting to it.

Could you make him a little collar like the vets give to dogs? I probably have no idea what I’m talking about. Just a thought
