This little one was pecked in the eye by a 'littermate'. I discovered the injury when he was about 3 days old, mainly because he was off by himself and acting stressed. I gave him a big drink of water, very thirsty chick, and tried to make sense of the eye injury.

I separated him for a couple of days with foodand water. He was eating and drinking on his own, so I put him back with the other chicks couple of days ago and so far so good.

He goes in circles a lot, especially if he is unsure of what is happening around him, but I watched him find both the food and water no problem

My main concern is what will happen to him when he matures. Anyone have exp with a one eyed chicken?

Use a wet warm washcloth on the eye for a few minutes to soak any dried drainage or pus off the eye. Flush the eye twice a day and apply the Terramycin into the eye. If you cannot get Terramycin then use plain Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment. Hopefully, it is not blinded, but time will tell.
