Rooster attacked by dog

My rooster was attacked by a dog today and had some feathers pulled completely out and his foot has a cut. What should I put on it to help him? Hes also very traumatized and I’m just holding him right now.

Trauma equals shock, and you would be wise to treat him with warm Gatoraid so shock doesn't do him in. For the wound, wash with soap and water and put on some Neosporin.

Thank you for this information. He actually seems to be his self now that he’s outside with his kitty. I put antibiotics on him and will continue until it heals
