rooster attacked by my dog

i have a rooster that my dog attacked .dog pull feathers out of his back. do i need too put anything on it ..theirs no blood and no open wounds

If there's no blood, I wouldn't put anything on it. He'll be alright. My roo took on a blue tick coon hound about 3 weeks ago. No blood, just had all of his tail feathers pulled out. ALL of them. Ever seen a naked butt rooster?

I didn't put anything on him and he 's fine.

Just make sure the chicken is eating and drinking. Sometimes they go into shock and don't eat or drink. That can do them in, even if the wounds are purely cosmetic.

The best thing is watch your chicken, if it is acting like a chicken, you know eating, drinking, pooping, and such things will be fine.
