what are yalls thoughts on him being able to walk? do y’all think he’ll be able to? i know we won’t fully know until the swelling goes down and he feels better but what are we thinking?

If he's using the leg he should be OK. It looks promising. I'd be sure to give him plenty of time to heal. Right now he's healing from injuries and not moving much. Then he will probably need some time to use the leg and get the strength back in it.

ah yes i know my apologies i just hope he’ll be okay and go back to being a happy chicken
it’s mainly swollen on the back of the head toward the neck on the right side where he was bleeding, the rest of his head/face is puffy and bruised.

with no power i have plenty time to wait, from what i can see that doesnt appear to be anything big, there wasn’t too much blood, it quicky stopped after a bit of holding a napkin to it, i’ll look more into when he wakes up, his feathers get in the way of me fully seeing his injury.

Sorry to hear about your situation hoping all is well with time and TLC

it is definitely a bad time especially with the weather situation but i’m managing! with
more time on my hands i’m able to spend more time monitoring him, it’s definitely inconvenient that the roads are closed but it’s for safety! hopefully all the snow melts by friday so i’m able to get groceries and things needed for garbanzo and my other chickies

anyone have any suggestions on dealing with poo? ive gone through 7 old t shirts and since i can’t wash them i have to use more old shirts, ive had to rinse him multiple times due to his runny poop but we are low on our water supply and the pipes bursting and him not being able to stand makes it worse, wooooowee it was stinky, he’s stinky too, anyone have any ideas? foods to improve his stool? i tried imagining a chicken diaper but i just couldn’t come up with anything so any suggestions?
