rooster attacking one of my hens

Can you get pictures, & or a video of exactly what he's doing?

You sure he's actually attacking her, or trying to assert dominance, or possibly trying to breed her?

I don't believe he is trying to breed with her. the best I can describe is when they see each other, he runs towards her and she submits to him and he repeatedly pecks at her head. she's taken to avoiding the flock and now sleeps in a cat carrier on the porch. we let her out early to get a head start and she looks for me at dusk to walk her safely back to her coop (it's adorable). we've also tried leaving the rooster in the coop so she can hang with the other hens and they seem to get along just fine.

I have this going on right now. And I have never had it.

A mature rooster, that just despises my BA hen. Came on out after months of getting along just fine. Does not seem to bother any of the other hens.

I have 3 cockerels that were hatched this summer. I think I will keep one of them, and LongJohns will be invited to supper. But I need to cull a few more, and I think I am going to cull her too - she is getting older, and I don't think is laying.

Always solve for peace in the flock. Now to just get it done.

I have a young cockerel about 7 months. He is good with most of the hens but signals out a thin barred rock. He chased her and pulls her feathers out. She has bare spots on her belly and head and neck.
When he chased her and I am put she will fly into my arms.

Do roosters signal hens out like this? Is she targeted because she is thin? She lays eggs but it's winter so that slowed down but her feathers never returned eve. After her being seperated and roo in a week time out.

A few years ago, I had a rooster that attacked one of my hens. I saw the poor hen, all bloodied and staggering around outside.

She was hardly out of the crate when the rooster flew at her and went right for her head again.

I have a young cockerel age 7 months that just did the same thing- he attacked a little hen. I had him outside the run- the bugger flew in and attacked her comb til she bleed. All the hens were pecking at the blood. So- after all of this he is going bye bye. I been keeping him seperate for a week. And then watching him. This is his 3rd time out- I am done. I like to give them all a fair chance. After watching him make her bleed and sitting on her back as the hens feasted. Sad
