He's an Easter Egger.

strange. the feathers are the colour of a rhode island red, but the cheek fluffs/ sideburns would suggest auracana. some kind of hybrid?

Forgot to mention. They said he had been picked on, so his feathers are just now coming back in.

Not an Araucana. Those are beard, & muff-less, have Ear Tuffs, & Rumpless(No Tail).

His colour is not one of a RIR, and araucana are not the only breed with beards. He's an EE

Araucanas don't have beards. The British ones do though.
