Thank you! I do appreciate your help. I have to either quote someone or select full page editor to have the pic icon appear. I didn't see any icons in just the reply area. But here goes nothing!

There are 3 chicks there but I only see 2. The gray hen is Gabby. One chick is hers. The Black is Wilson. The other 2 are hers. And they're both setting on clutches now. Is the black(with purple and green colors) an Austrolorp? And can anyone tell me what kind the gray hen is? Thanks much in advance! This site is awesomeness!!!

Thank you! I was checking out the breeds gallery and my black, with the beautiful colors in her feathers, looks exactly like an Austrolorp. But they are sisters. Those two as well as my barred rock came from the same clutch. There were 2 other sisters.... They've since passed. But they were all different. No two were alike that I got. I do know the man kept some. In my experience, they are all different when a mother is setting on a mixed clutch. My hens all lay in the same nest even though there are 5!!! But I guess depending on what Roo and mama look like,it's possible to have multiple colored chicks. I just don't know they're breed. I'm learning though. That's why I'm going to send pics so maybe someone might be able to tell me what I've got here!
