Rooster chasing my hens.

Also I fear that my original 12 hens think I'm the dominate one of there flock because when I walk up to my one hen that lasts she submits and squats. But when the rooster goes up to her she runs. So I'm worried he will think he has to fight me to show the other hens he is the boss. Is this a thing?

Nope, your over thinking what the rooster is thinking. Just watch what he's doing, as long as he's not tearing up your hens he's being a young rooster. I went through all that you described with both my roosters and they finally calmed down as they got older.

I read that rir roosters can be aggressive and amauracauns can be polite and kind and he is a mix of both
