Rooster crowing at night?

While watching the disappointing election results last night, we had the windows open. All of a sudden, my Romeo starts crowing. It was probably 9pm or so. Was he also complaining about the election results, or do roosters do this from time to time?

More likely something in his world disturbed him. Chickens are much more disturbed about being elected to be the next guest of honor at a fox's dinner. But they will just crow at night from time to time.
