Rooster Dying????

So this morning I checked on my roo. His ear looked very clean and not swollen/inflamed like it did before... However his neck is still bad twisted. He keeps it on the ground. It's almost like he's totally upside down or like the proverbial ostrich with his head in the ground. That can't be good for him... I tried propping him up but he moves around a lot and so it doesn't do any good. He is eating and drinking though...

Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep him upright?

I'm glad the ear looks better.

The other side is clear too?

Continue with the vitamin therapy. You may have to try propping him up into position at night when he's sleeping, hopefully that will eventually carry on through to daytime.

Yes, the other side looks clear. However he doesn't want to open his eye on the side with the infection. I've looked at it and other than being white on the outside, I don't see anything abnormal. His pupil reacts when you open the lid. No drainage that I can see. I've been cleaning it regularly with ophthalmic gel. I also was putting neomycin drops in it a couple of times. His refusal to open the eye is the only thing I see now... Other than the severe wry neck.

Still giving him the Amoxicillan. On Day 4 now. Should I go a full 5, 7, or 10 days?

For me, I'd go with 10days. It's twice a day.

Can you get a photo of the eye?

Have you looked inside the beak just to make sure there's no canker or infection in there too? Or that the choanal slit is impacted with material. Just covering everything I can think of.
