Somehow our rooster injured or lost an eye. He have no idea what happened. It's totally white and super swollen[IMG][/IMG]. He seems to be fine otherwise. Still free ranging. Still eating and drinking and socializing. He can even blink. Is there anything we should do for him? I attached pictures of the good and bad eyes.

The white could be a solid layer of pus. His eye may actually still be under there or not. He may have an eye injury with infection, but eye infectons can also be part of a respiratory infection. I would flush his eye out with saline, and clean out any drainage or the white gunk. It might take more than one session, and you may need QTips and tweezers. Then use some Terramycin eye ointment from your feed store which you may need to ask a clerk for. Vetericyn eye gel or saline would be good if you cannot get Terramycin.
