Rooster fight! HELP!!

I hope you have much success. Unfortunately a couple of times when our chickens have free ranged, the neighbor's dogs would attack a couple of them. The ones that weren't killed had puncture wounds and were breathing weird. So we put them down. But I don't blame you for trying all you can before you end it. I'm presently nursing a hen back to health that I don't think will make it. She has pneumonia. And also has another condition. Chickens are so sweet. And when one is sick or hurt, you can really stress yourself out worrying about it. My chickens have forever homes with me. Once they don't lay anymore, I still keep them as pets. I only have a few and there is no way I could eat them. But that's just me.

If you know of an avian vet that would see chickens but money is an issue, try carecredit.com. I used it once for a dog I had that got sick and it gave me a year to pay off the expenses (it was almost 1k dollars). I hope your rooster gets better.

Thank you all so much for the help! He is very tough for still being here with the injuries he has and what he went through. I am praying he can keep it up and get better! Thanks again! All your help and well wishes mean a lot!

To me personally it sounds like a bird of prey got ahold of your chickie. Best of luck to you. I can't imagine what I'd do if something like that happened to one of my babies
