Rooster fight!

i dont think the boys will stop fighting until a clear victor establishes himself. and with the addition of new girls theres something to fight for. i read minimum of 3 weeks for the see but dont touch method and thats what i go by ( this will only be my second year with chickens) but i do have a total of 13 chickens that i had to do 4 different integrations with this method. I've noticed its a lot easier introducing a group rather then a single chicken. males will fight until someone wins.
i also learned after a couple weeks to start giving them " yard time" every day. i usually do this while im doing my chicken chores, i serve as the distraction and toss food and such to distract the other chickens, let them squabble but dont let things get too serious and just monitor then i round them back up.
oh and another good pointer i learned from BYC, if you stop the fight your only postponing it. chickens hold a grudge and that fight will be coming. my first big mistake with integration was trying to stop the fighting, they just kept getting more aggressive until i let them figure it out how they wanted to figure it out lol. had me a little worried but after a decisive victor came forth everything calmed down and those 2 are best buds lol.

They may eventually kill each other. Can you not house them separately?

Keeping more than one rooster with a confined group is not something I would recommend unless you have a lot of experience dealing with flock dynamics.
Wyorp Rock's suggestion to house them separately should be taken to heart.
They do not often fight to the death in my experience but if you're having to constantly break up fights then there is something wrong with your flock management; sorry to be so blunt.

i would try putting one rooster in a wire kennel inside of the coop and giving him some yard time every day as you do your chicken duties. i feel this helps them get to know each other and prevents the fights but still allows them to feel the aggression and get over it without the fight... although the fight is still coming. but most likely if you let them it will be the last one for a while. chickens are creatures of habit and if they fight every day you need to change that habit and create a new routine. kennel can help change that routine. mix see and dont touch of the kennel with daily yard time during a time when chickens are distracted with your supervision. the goal being to allow the chickens to interact, then removing the chicken to the kennel BEFORE they escalate to a "pecking order discussion" aka fighting. they will need to decide the pecking order but you dont want those fights being the norm routine.

i hope that makes sense? hard thing to describe lol.

oh and i would treat the combs and waddles before letting them meet out of the kennel again. the wounds can cause the fights in the first place

Hi I have a question. I have 2 roosters.. Brutus he’s 2 and has always been the top roo in the coop. Uno is 1 years old and a few months. Anyways they were out free ranging yesterday and they were apparently fighting when I didn’t hear them with the air conditioner on in the house. Soooo what do I do. Brutus slept on the deck. Uno wouldn’t allow him to come in the coop. Brutus was all bloody will they ever get along. I let the hens and uno out this morning and the two roosters are crowing non stop. I’m guessing at each other. I had to break them up in my neighbors yard. Are they crowing at each other. ? Will this stop or should I get rid of one. Please help thanks

How many females do you have? If you have quite a few females and the space maybe you can give Brutus some and give Uno some in a separate space. My males all get along as long as there are no females in with them. Soon I will be separating the males from the females and put the males in a separate coop and pen, a bachelor coop and pen but they have all been raised together.

I have 8 females and 2 11 week old hens and a 12 week rooster to intermix soon. I already have the babies on one side and adults on the other

That’s pretty awesome how you have it getting set up. We don’t have that much room in our back yard
