Rooster Getting Aggressive

Read what you can and take what you can use JT,but don't ever think any of these articles are the end all,be all. Every roo and person are different as is every situation. That's what makes it fun,you just never know. :)
This article is interesting. I didn't associate crowing and mounting as a sign of being top boss. More rooster training starts today, I hope I'm not too late.

Yep, just like a game of chess the more moves you know about the better your chance of winning. I totally agree, you must read the roo's reaction to you and make adjustments as needed. I still like to have a few extra clips loaded...

umm, why free range? He'll probably just stick close and still attack people.

I'm not much for neck ringing so I was going to use my 22 pistol with rat shot... fast and quick. It was an attempt to separate him from the pullets, so a heat of the moment decision. I know I still have a lot to learn about being a chicken rancher... some things come slow.

The only good thing is he is pretty much confined to the 18 acres me and my neighbor own (used to be a goat place). So we are both looking for him. He went nuts running in circles flapping his wings and bumping into things then fell down. He sat there for a bit then wandered up the hill, I've not seen or heard him since.
