Rooster has Injury on Comb

This isn't an emergency and my rooster has already had this for about a week I just want to know how I should treat it if at all. Also would like to know what you think caused it. Thanks for your help.

This could be from a pecking injury or it could be fowl pox.
Do not pick at it, what ever you do.

Ok thank you, I dont believe that it's fowl pox I believe it is an injury from him scratching agains the hardware wire of his coop.

Neosporin won't hurt. (with out pain reliever in it)
