he goes threw the motions but no sound comes out, also has one eye shut, this came on quick as yesturday he was fine,,,,what is up with that? thanks for any help you can give

i am not sure of his age, i have had him about 6 months, he is full grown, i think he is eating and drinking, i say that because he is with 2 others and the food and water are always needing to be filled, i will seperate and watch him more closely tomorrow, what do you think it could be, the others are fine,.

no injuries, just out of no where

It sounds as though he has injured his eye. The crowing with no voice is weird! Can you try feeding him and making sure he gets a drink- maybe with electrolytes in his water? And I'm not sure where your are located, but make sure he is warm enough tonight in case it is cold where you are- just try to remove as much stress as you can from him.
My guess is that someone who knows way more than me will help soon too.

Have you tried flushing out his eye?
Is his comb still bright?
Unless you're on top of Mount Washington

, you should be in the 60's/70's tonight...
Check down his throat: see if anything could be stuck there.
Good luck with him.

ya, he is great besides that, the eye isnt bubbly or swollen it is that he just keeps closing it, his color is good, i dont get it,
but thanks for replies

i wanted to add,. he isnt chocking, it is only when he crows, there is no crow with the action, otherwise he is going about his day as usual,,

...might have something stuck in throat? perhaps a small bit of bread soaked in olive oil or such would help if that is the case?
