Rooster having trouble walking (video )

What’s the best way to disenfect pens? I’ve been using vinegar and spray it everywhere but let it dry off and don’t put them back in there till it’s dry and doesn’t smell like vinegar anymore

Vinegar ain’t gonna cut it. You will need to completely remove the litter. You can spray down roosts and the walls with permethrin spray, sevin or something similar. Replace the bedding with fresh straw. Doing complete clean outs like that really only need done maybe twice a year. Removing old bedding and replacing with new should be done whenever the bedding starts getting dirty, smells or the coop/pen is getting muddy.
Sometimes you can just get away with adding a little straw for a quick fix but eventually you’ll have to clean it all out.

Well I meant for cleaning completely out I do remove bedding and remove litter I mean like after all that what’s the best disenfectant but I will defenetly look into those products. I’ve used bleach before as well but recently used vinegar

Ohh ok Will keep an eye out for that. I’ve seen people on here saying they throw out DE in their coop what’s your opinion on that?

I have sprayed poultry protector as well after cleaning out everything but I really don’t know how effective it is

I use DE sometimes especially if I’m adding straw to messy pens for a quick fix. Honestly it doesn’t do much and it’s pretty expensive. Just skip the DE. You can still use bleach too but you shouldn’t really have to.

There’s a bunch of products that work and then there’s a bunch of stuff out there designed for people to waste money on.
