Rooster having trouble walking (video )

Is that bad to have a turkey?
No but who was the rooster pen fighting with? I have a peacock that will mess with penned birds. I have wild turkeys that come through and will screw around with young birds that are loose.

Well I have a big chicken coop where it’s divided in there sections two of them are pens for cocks and hens and the third one is big for the the hens that free range during the day to sleep in and I Also keep the keep stalls in that third section. So my sister went out and fed them one morning and accidentally left a door unlcoked and I guess the wind opened it and he got out and was fighting with the rooster in the keep stall. But for some reason the rooster inside the stall didn’t get much but minor scratches on his feet I guess because he wasn’t jumping and kicking. But I do keep one rooster penned outside he’s about maybe 9 months old but the turkey never messes with him. Turkey is about 7 months. I hatched him out the incubator.

If you want to keep gamefowl I suggest you keep them outside in some other sort of pens with fresh air. They will be healthier in the long run. You should do your best to keep the pen dry and some sort of straw or hay in there for them to scratch around in. I know you’ve had other issues with bumble foot and chick health problems. You must keep the pens clean and dry. Medicine isn’t a substitute. It’s a lot of work especially with gamefowl.

Oh well they do get fresh air in the two sections that are divided since it’s notching but fence around the pens but I keep a tarp tide up at the bottom in case the rooster outside that’s free ranging(farm rooster ) ever wants to mess with them. At the moment it’s really wet since it’s been raining really bad here in Houston actually raining right now but yes I’ve been trying to keep their stalls as dry as possible. As for the roosters that are in stalls (2) I take them out when I get home and put them on their pens outside the coop in their pens with their hens. I just don’t like keeping them there because of the rooster that’s free ranging and the turkey actually messes with those two roosters.
