My rooster is one year old and he has been getting very sluggish over the past month. Hardly mating, sleeping all the time. He has now even stopped crowing! His face has developed white scabby looking rough patches and his comb is going purple. I have isolated him and given him a shot of penG (didn't know what else to do). He is drinking endless amounts of water and having diarrhea and his crop seems quite full.

Any ideas?

Inspect him for lice/mites, also probably needs worming. White scabby patches could be favus, put miconazole on the white patches.

I will try antifungal cream on the patches. Much more concerned about his lethargy though. He does have some lice (as do all of my organic chickens) but definitely no mites. I de-wormed all my chickens less than 2 months ago...
