I see. I wasn’t sure how to post this in limited time, but I tried to communicate that I didn’t think this was ok or good in the rest of my post. I worried a headline of “I pulled out a bunch of my rooster’s hackle feathers” would not get me the responses I need - which is how concerned I should be and how to care for him in case this is an injury.

Eh I’d just check the bird real quick. If the skin isn’t torn anywhere no big deal. If it is just lather on some neosporin and he’ll be fine.
