Rooster making a weird sound at night. Please help quickly because another rooster died yesterday!

I was thinking that you might be dealing with gapeworms. However, since your roosters were crowing, I doubt it's gapeworms.
It would be best to get a fecal sample from your rooster and have it looked at under a microscope for worm eggs, capillary worms are a possibility.

Let us know what medication your father gets, and the label, and we might be able to help with dosage. One of new birds brought in recently could have been a carrier of respiratory illness that did not have any symptoms. Below in post 3 of the following thread is dosage for either tetracycline or oxytetracycline, and use the 800 mg dose for 7 days in his water:

I didn't realise if he crowed today, but yesterday he was crowing

Having lived in your area before (asia major and minor), I’d recommend looking for pigeon antibiotics—you can often find a “4-in-1” formula sold outside of vet clinics, especially at feed stores. It’s commonly used in aviculture and may be your best over-the-counter option if you’re having trouble accessing a bird vet.

Also, can you share more about the bird’s diet? I've come across similar respiratory sounds in birds with liver inflammation. When the liver becomes enlarged, it can press up against the air sacs, making it harder for the bird to breathe comfortably and when they go to make a normal sound, it comes out strange. You might notice signs like the bird constantly stretching its neck, making strained “creaming or honking” sounds, or breathing with effort.

The more details you can give, the better we can help—especially about diet, posture, and droppings the better :)
