Rooster making weird noise

Hello! I’m new to chickens, and was wondering what this noise my rooster was making? Is he scared of the dog, or is there something else going on?

I don't think I would say "scared" of the dog.. as he's clearly standing tall and not otherwise hiding.. but it does sound like a mild or light predator warning/alarm sound. Otherwise called a screech, but not yet full on.


A sign he is alert and on duty.. as far as I can tell and according to my experience.
