Rooster names...

With raising chickens we all find ourselves searching for that perfect name for our feathered friends. My daughter is no different. She has a Gold Laced Brahma Cockerel that she just can't find the right name for so I told her I'd ask ya'll. He is 18 weeks old now and quite a big boy. He is gentle as can be but will wack you with his wings when you pick him up. Once you have a hold of hime though he will hug you! Sweet boy!!! So I'm looking for "epic" name ideas. LOL ( daughters words) Let the naming begin... Oh.... his name will end with... La Roo like FOO FOO La Roo... but she hates Foo Foo. LOL

Magnum is a name meaning great. Or try Caesar? Or Jean Valjean la Roo. LOL

I think you need to name him according to his personality. I named my rooster and two hens (I had 18) after the characters in the old movie Harvey. The rooster was Elwood P. Dowd (he was quite proper!), and the two Rhode Island hens were Vita Louise (Elwood's Mom in the movie) and Myrtle Mae (Elwood's sister in the movie). These two girls loved Elwood and followed him everywhere, they even roosted next to him every night, thus the names. I've been watching my new baby pullets and have a name for one that is very "active" and curious and I see will be a handful. She will be "Sadie". That was my Mother's name for me when I was disobedient! Good luck with the name finding!
