Our golden laced polish rooster has been acting very odd for the past week and a half or so. We just trested them for coccidiosis because we saw a few red piles of poop. He was recently attacked by our puppythis weekend and almost killed but he was acting bad before that. I'm not sure what is wrong with him. He wont walk a lot and he's usually laying down. He won't be with the rest of the flock and usually stays near the coop. Yesterday I thought he might've been getting better because he was up by the driveway. The past week he hasn't seemed to be eating and drinking a lot and I thought he might've been sick from cocci but he should be better by now and both flocks are acting completely normal except for him. This morning it seemed like he was favoring one foot but I will have to check. I also just came home from school and his growing feathers on his head have appeared to been pecked out by the other flock. The gate leading out of their pen was closed all day and the rest of his flock jumped over the fence. The younger flock must have been picking on him (this happened last year too, but it was his flock that did it to him). Usually this rooster jumps over the fence too, but he was just sitting by the gate inside. He just kind of limps around when he walks. Please help, does anyone know I'd he might be sick? Injured? How can I help him? He means a lot to our family. I'm going to give him some sunflower seeds for extra protein to recover his feathers that now have to regrow. (I tried to upload a video but it wont let me)
