Poor baby. We recently used pour on Ivermectin 1% for cattle. The suggested dosage I went by I found on another thread:

0.1 cc per each 2 lbs of bird

Here is from another post:

Ivermectin pour on will kill gapeworm...3 drops on bare skin, on the back of the neck. To check for gapeworm; use a Q-tip and gently stick it one inch down its throat, gently swab and pull it out. If you see a red in color "Y" shaped worm(s) on the Q-tip...you'll have your answer.

I used a small syringe because it is a very small dose. In fact I might have used a bit less than recommended to be careful not to over dose, just .3 cc on a heavy rooster. If you use a dropped it would be harder to regulate how many drops come out and you don't want to over dose.

It got rid of the mites on my roos. That reminds me, I am supposed to redose a month later because it does not kill the eggs, so I was told.

So I wormed him, and he does seem a little better, but still not himself.

also I noticed he seems to have a bit of a hard time breathing.

when I was watching him, his whole body seemed to move as he breathed. also he holds his mouth open a little. not open wide, but still?????
could he have a breathing problem??????????????????

Thank you all so much !

Help!
he's having a hard time breathing!!!!!
what should I do, I am going to order the Ty 50 med.!!!

I think you have done your best for the guy - maybe it's time to send him off to chicken heaven where he will have no more pain - life isn't any fun if you don't feel good - giving him all those chemicals must not be healthy for him or you - sorry -

I am almost certen it is a breathing problem.

I am going to get some Ty 50

where should I buy it, and is there a special kind I need.?
